Description
Another fun fact on the Waxwings, is that they simply "toss" a berry in the air if it isn't sitting quite right. Tossing it in the air allows the birds to position it a little differently for easier eating. I was trying to get a photo of the berry toss, but it was proving to be a little more difficult than I thought. They either had their backs to me, or I just missed it by a second. I didn't know I had the shot until I had a better look at my photos on my laptop.
